The local fishery
Both Salling and Mors are known for their sea trout fishing and several of the Limfjord’s very best coastal spots are found here.
The central and south-eastern part of the Limfjord is an extensive system of small fjords, banks, straits and inlets, offering varied and scenic fishing spots. The campsite is located in Salling right by the Sallingsund Bridge, so in just a few minutes. You can reach the Limfjord’s largest island, Mors, which with its steep pier slopes provides a unique setting for the nature experience. You can fish in the fjord right next to the campsite or in a few minutes’ drive you can reach many other well-known coastal spots. In the fjord, fishing for sea trout is undoubtedly most popular, but there is also the opportunity for entertaining fishing for garfish and herring. If you move to the west coast, there is fishing in rugged nature and some of the best pier and breakwater fishing you can experience in Denmark. The west coast is also the starting point for sea fishing on the Yellow Reef.
